Almost 30 years ago, Kathleen Milner asked God to reconnect her to the psychic and healing abilities she had as a young girl.  Meeting Buddha in a consciousness-raising experience described in Reiki & Other Rays of Touch Healing, whereby her physical, mental, emotional and spiritual bodies were in the Otherworlds was not the end of the process.  It was the beginning of Tera-Mai!  For Buddha taught Kathleen what had been missing from the original three Reiki attunements.  The proof that this is so resides in the consistent and dramatic healings that Tera-Mai initiates are able to facilitate.  Jesus said, "Yea shall know them by their works!"  In no version of any Bible anywhere is any demon credited with healing anyone!  Healing is the work of God!  It was through Jesus' dramatic healings that he was recognized!

 In the original Alliance Reiki System taught by Takata, each particular Reiki Master judged an aspiring student as to whether or not she or he was worthy to receive Reiki Mastership (even though the original cost was $10,000 US).  When people began asking Kathleen to teach them Reiki Mastership, she again prayed to Gad and asked Him to be the judge of who was worthy and who was not.  Thus, everyone who attends Kathleen's or her students' Tera-Mai Reiki or Tera-Mai Seichem classes receives the same attunements and the identical energy.  Prospective students also know before the class that if they change the Tera-Mai initiations, or if they give or receive manmade attunements, the energy of Tera-Mai will dissipate and at some point, leave entirely.  Everyone then judges themselves as to whether or not they are worthy to keep the energy of Tera-Mai.

 Why would it be important to God or Holy Spirit that this occurs?  Manmade initiaitons are not Universal and do not stand the test of time!  All individuals who take the Tera-Mai initiations are connected through the Tera-Mai initiations through Buddha to the Source of all healing - God!  If a particular student changes the attunements or tries to use the energy for manmade attunements, he or she would corrupt the system.  So, the angels cut his or her connection to Tera-Mai, just as they disconnect anyone who would take the energy of Tera-Mai and try to practice black magic.  In this way, the system of Tera-Mai is kept pure.

 In order to use the trademark Tera-Mai, a Tera-Mai Reiki Master or Tera-Mai Seichem must keep the initiaitons standardized, and refrain from giving or receiving any other Reiki, Seichem or manmade initiations.  It is left up to the TM Reiki and TM Seichem Masters to discern for him or herself what is manmade and what is Universal.  In this way, there is  freedom to explore alternatives - BUT hopefully, only after witnessing healing demonstrations and asking questions.   That is why it is strongly recommended that prospective Tera-Mai initiates ask to witness healing demonstrations from a potential teacher.  Just because there is energy does not necessarily mean that it can be used for healing.  The dark side is fully capable of producing energy.  "Yea shall know them by their works!"

   There have been many people, who after being attuned to Tera-Mai, were initiated into manmade initiations.  Many of these particular people have come back to Tera-Mai.  Their manmade initiations are pulled off (see Winter 2005 Newsletter) and re-attuned to Tera-Mai for a donation.  Without exception, the energy of Tera-Mai returned!  Without exception, they had not realized how much they had lost until it was returned!

 For those who are being taught how to do the second and third level initiations into Sakara, Sophi-El and Angeliclight, they are asked to refrain from giving or receiving any other initiations outside of the Tera-Mai system.  Too many people after being initiated into Tera-Mai have made up initiations and given their attunements wonderful names.  For additional information on how Reiki systems go back to Takata's original Alliance Reiki attunements, read The Reiki Sourcebook.  Interestingly enough, there is another Reiki system that uses the same symbols found in Tera-Mai.  Even though Reiki & Other Rays of Touch Healing and Kathleen's videos predate this particular Reiki system (as evidenced by the copyright dates), the originator claims that his system came before Tera-Mai.  In The Reiki Sourcebook it clearly shows that Tera-Mai came first.  In reading the first edition of The Reiki Sourcebook it may also be noted that Tera-Mai is the only Reiki system (other than the original Reiki Alliance initiations) that came about through a consciousness-raising experience.
