I was brought up in the Catholic faith, which was cloaked with protocol and ceremony at the time.  And each year, the Gospels repeated themselves during the liturgical calendar.  One particular passage always struck me with both awe and questioning.  The words were those of Jesus when he prophesized, "And you shall do greater things than I have done."  

This passage brought unexpected joy but were also a cause of great confusion.  My parents had early on discouraged my interludes with the angels, and basically the Church taught that metaphysical phenomenon was the domain of the devil.   In spite of these warnings, as I grew up I continued to just know things, and was profoundly aware of the power of my prayers and the healing that sometimes came through me.  When these abilities came to the forefront, oftentimes, they frightened me.  Spirits would on occasion still present themselves to me, but they would do so demonstrably.  Their forms more real than those in the everyday world, and their voices would be enough to make me jump out of my body.

By the time I was married and had two children, the psychic impressions and healing abilities had greatly decreased in frequency.  It was after I got a divorce that I prayed to God, please return the Gifts of the Spirit that are my birthright.  After two car accidents, I pray, please return my healing abilities and help me to heal in the manner of Jesus.

It was as if God then sent me on a search to reclaim what had once been mine.  On my journey, one of these adventures included being initiated into the Alliance Reiki initiations that Takata had taught Iris Ishakuru and her 20 other Reiki Masters.  I learned healing techniques, how to send healing distantly and the Violet Breath in the third class.  But the initiations did not increase my healing abilities; I only knew that the initiations were incomplete.

After I became a Reiki Master (teacher of Reiki), I had no intention of teaching others.  I had only been impressed to take the class and later practiced the Violet Breath.  God must have had other ideas in mind because my daughter, Jennifer, informed some of my friends, who then asked me to teach them.  And others heard, and I taught them as well.  When I was invited to the Whole Life Expo in New York City, I was as surprised as everyone else.  The lecture and workshop were packed, so they invited me to Los Angeles.  I had also been given a booth in Los Angeles in exchange for the money the Expo held in New York City owed me.  All I had to offer at this booth was a single audio meditation tape, and healing demonstrations given on a donations-are-accepted basis.  

It was during this time that I learned from Reiki Masters that nobody could do the same miracles as Takata. (There is a witnessed and documented account of her raising the dead.)  My friend, Marcy Miller, had just returned to Los Angeles from Sai Baba's ashram, and she had received the message there that Sai Baba would retrieve what was missing from the Reiki attunements.  

After the Expo, I went home with Marcy.  While we were sitting casually in the living room, I suddenly felt a heightened awareness in my physical body and a shift.  The world around me changed - the ceiling became cathedral size and a large presence appeared.  He presented himself in orange robes and sprouting an afro hairstyle.  I assumed it was Sai Baba.  During this consciousness-raising experience and in later encounters with this same being, I was given instructions on what was missing from the Reiki attunements and the symbols ZONAR, HARTH and HALU.  These attunements were later trademarked as Tera Mai.

The proof that I wasn't simply delusional is the fact that people who were re-attuned as the higher being instructed were able to facilitate more in the way of healings and more frequently.  The higher being also said that great gifts require a sacrifice of the personal.  In this case, those initiated were to refrain from giving or receiving other Reiki or manmade attunements, the initiations were not to be altered in anyway, and initiations were to be given by those who had been attuned according to his instructions in a one-on-one basis.  This story, along with healing techniques and examples, is more completely told in Reiki & Other Rays of Touch Healing.

A few years later, Marcy Miller announced to the world that while the experience was remarkable, she could not take credit for these symbols as she never saw any higher being.  I have experienced a mere handful of other consciousness-raising experiences.  When there have been other people with me, they too have had magical experience.  I believe that these individuals, including Marcy, may well have contributed to each experience.  Some of these experiences are told in Part II of Between Two Worlds:  The Story of Henry VIII and Anne Boleyn - and Her Celtic Heritage.  (The otherworld landscape on the book's cover are actually 3 large Atlantian crystals, and many people are able to feel the energy of these crystals.)

After Tera Mai was legally trademarked as a healing system in 1995, the higher being presented himself to me as Buddha.  When I asked why he appeared originally as Sai Baba, he told me that at the time I could accept Sai Baba coming to me because I was aware of the work Sai Baba had done for others.  But Buddha said that if he himself had appeared to me, I would have questioned, who am I to have Buddha come to me?  My doubts would have taken me out of the moment and out of the experience that Holy Spirit had worked so hard to manifest.

After Tera Mai Reiki, I had yet another encounter with the higher being, whom I have come to know as Buddha, whereby he gave me the Tera Mai Seichem initiations.  It is described in Tera, My Journey Home:  Alternative Healing.  Previously, I had been initiated into Seichem, but the fire energy was incredibly unstable and the higher being told me that I was NEVER to use the long and cumbersome Seichem initiations that I had been attuned to.  A woman named Phoenix had taken the energy she had received from Patrick Zeigler's Shamanic-type experience circle and simply made up initiations.  Most of the symbols were simply Reiki symbols slanted, and there was a substitution of a clockwise CHO KU RAY that got larger for the counterclockwise CHO KU RAY that got smaller.  Phoenix died.  Fire is NOT to be fooled around with on any level.

When I asked what would happen to me with this unpredictable energy running through me, Buddha told me that he would stabilize the energy.  I asked him, why did I have to go through this?  I was told that it was a necessary step on my journey to recreate the psychic and healing potential in my natal astrology chart.  

In this particular consciousness-raising experience, Buddha added 2 more symbols and 2 more colors to create what he called stable and safe initiations into fire.  He also told me that the initiations included the energies of elemental water and air, as well as elemental earth energy from Tera Mai Reiki.  I was told to call these initiations Tera Mai Seichem.  The word Seichem was to honor the man who spent the night in the King's Chamber in the Great Pyramid (Patrick Zeigler).  However, I was to hand out the Tera Mai Reiki lineage to TM Seichem Masters (teachers), as the initiations were similar to and based on Tera Mai Reiki.  Buddha also said that the same standards that are applicable to Tera Mai Reiki are applicable to Tera Mai Seichem.

Since that time, I have continued to reclaim the Gifts of the Spirit that are my birthright.  As my healing abilities grow and develop, so too, the possibilities and energies of Tera Mai continue to grow and develop.  Further initiations into Sakara (fire), Sophi-El (water) and Angeliclight (air) are now administered by properly trained initiators, who have signed an agreement not to give or receive any other initiations except those given in Tera Mai.  The complete list of those individuals is the last item under FIND INSTRUCTORS to the left.

Tera Mai Cahokia is the weaving of the complete aspect of the elemental rays of earth, air, fire and water.  Initiates can feel the spinning and weaving going on inside of them.  It is these elemental forces that all Shaman, wise women, saints, and healers have used from the beginning of time to do healing and magic work.  Click on CLASS DESCRIPTIONS for additional information.
