Tera Mai practitioners (which includes individuals who are surgical nurses and a few doctors) and myself have facilitated healings on countless people who have exhibited every symptom and malady possible.  The only requirement is that people have to ask for or show up for a healing.

In other Reiki systems there has been a growing list of Reiki taboos - that is a list of diseases and ailments that Reiki canNOT be used on.  The list includes:  People with pacemakers, pregnant women, broken bones before they are set, cancer, people who are bleeding profusely, etc.  This list also states that Reiki canNOT be sent to people while they are undergoing surgery.  The list is expanding and maybe found in Reiki manuals and Reiki books, and on Reiki web sites.

Sometimes, during or after public healing demonstrations, somebody will ask me why I just facilitated a healing on stage for somebody with cancerous tumors (or one of the other forbidden Reiki maladies).  They will then proceed to inform me that they can personally attest to the fact that the Reiki taboo list is an accurate list of disorders that Reiki should NOT be used on.  One  Reiki individual recently wrote to me saying that Reiki made cancerous tumors grow bigger.  

Well, none of these taboos are true with Tera Mai.  Therefore, it makes sense that if Tera Mai is safe to use on all of these ailments, that mixing attunements will produce mixed results; thus, corrupting the energies of Tera Mai.    

To put it another way, there is nothing inherently evil about water or electricity.  However, it is inadvisable to combine the two.  

Tera Mai instructors and initiators have been taught how to clear other Reiki, other Seichem or manmade attunements from the prospective Tera Mai initiate so that the energies of Tera Mai flow uninhibitedly through the etheric channels.
